Trees I Have Known

I hope this will end up being a series. There's certainly enough source material. One of my favorite books and definitely an inspiration for this series is Ingo Giezendanner Mille Feuilles-- this brick of a book is a full 1000 pages including the covers of ink drawings of dense foliage, leaves and trees.

I've started sketching for this book. I'm not quite sure how I'll produce it yet. I do know that it will have some surprises or at least some counterpoint to all of the beautiful and unique trees. Oh, I'm also constantly taking pictures of trees, which is really it's own reward.
